Provide a detailed reflection of your first impressions thus far at your internship site.
Before the first day, I was a little nervous because of the kind of task would might do. It usually involves making a lot of phone calls, and multitasking, which is something I'm not very good at. I was worried that I would mess up a task or not remember something correctly. Which is why I made sure my mentor knew that I needed things explained to me more than once, which didn't me worry so much. I was the first to get there, and already had an idea, how it would go from my summer camp experience. I met Ethan, the founder, and talked about the things they did there, and gave me my first task, to assist the media arts camp. I looked forward to this because, I remember doing the media arts summer camp a couple years ago, and didn't mind helping the kids. I was introduced to all of them and was only able to help a couple because they were almost done with there projects and I had a new task. First, we sort of had a meeting with Amanda, our mentor, about the rules and what we were doing the entire internship program. No one asked, but Jasmine, asked if I could help her make phone calls, reminding people of the orientations they planned. We did this half the day, and she brought up a good point that we needed to work on our people skills, because Amanda said that we were going to work the front desk, so I made sure to show confidence and to speak slowly and clearly.
