Cartier Conley IV
Fall 2013
About Me
My name is Cartier Conley IV, I am a freshman here at High Tech High International. My classes this year are humanities, math/physics and Spanish. I am very excited to learn Spanish for the first time! Even though the school year has began I am just as excited today as I was then. I can't wait to do our next project "Into the wild". I'm sure it will be just as exciting as the Greek Theater Festival Project. I was orignially supposed to go to Monte Vista High however, I was accepted to High Tech High International two days before the school year began! Wow, talking about cutting it close. I was intrigued with the ideal of doing projects as part of our grades at High Tech High International. Monte Vista appeard to learn primarly from textbooks and have too many students vs teachers. The thought of attending Monte Vista seems very scary to me right now. I really can appreciate the academic support that I get from teachers, counselors and school staff. Everyone here seems to be very helpful and willing to go out of there way to help me. I'm a very shy person and sometimes I find it hard to approach students or teacher. I'm constantly trying to improve my approach so bare with me if I don't get it right the first time. My parents let me make the decision to attend classes here at High Tech High International and so far I'm sure I made the right choice.
